As EVM Demo Rolls On, AAP Circles Back To Election Commission Promise: 10 Facts

Election Commission showed the working of voting machines amid allegations of EVM tampering.

New Delhi:  Ahead of the Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi’s announcement on the Electronic Voting Machine, or EVM Challenge later in the afternoon, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday mounted another attack on the election body for not holding the promised hackathon and keeping political parties out of the live demo that began a short while back. “We hope the Election Commission tells us today when they will accept our (hackathon) challenge,” AAP leader and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai said. At an all-party meeting last week, the Election Commission had rejected the AAP’s offer but the party hasn’t given up and will decide its strategy at a meeting later today.
