A charity linked to the SNP MP Chris Law is facing investigation for allegedly breaching rules on political neutrality.

The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator has been urged to investigate Dundee: the Caring City amid claims it endorsed Law’s bid to hold on to his Dundee West seat during the general election earlier this month.

The complaint, a copy of which has been seen by this newspaper, includes a photograph of a sign urging people to vote for Law in the run-up to the election. It appears the banner was erected within the grounds of the charity’s Dundee headquarters.
