Any moisture would be good news for Fort Collins, which ended June with just 0.14 inches of precipitation compared to the normal amount of 2.17 inches, according to Colorado Climate Center data collected at Colorado State University’s Fort Collins weather station.

The city, which is 2 inches below normal for precipitation on the year, is tracking just below the average for this point in July after a sporadic rain last week that officially brought us to 0.37 inches. Some parts of the west side of the city recorded more than an inch of rain, according to Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network reports. The Coloradoan, 1300 Riverside Ave., received 0.62 of rain in the quick-moving storm.
