Motion to Dismiss Sen. Menendez’s Corruption Case Rejected

Federal Judge William Walls Monday rejected a motion to dismiss the corruption case against U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez.

Mr. Menendez, a two-term New Jersey Democrat, is currently on trial in Newark federal court, facing fraud and bribery charges. Prosecutors say he took $1 million in gifts and campaign contributions in exchange for political favors for Florida doctor Salomon Melgen, his co-defendant in the trial.
