Stephen A. Smith, the host of ESPN’s First Take and a noted hot-take specialist, has a lot of opinions. His entire career at ESPN is centered around embracing debate with outlandish remarks. On Thursday, Fox News made use of that concept to discuss Donald Trump … with Stephen A. Smith himself.
Smith appeared as a guest on The Fox News Specialists with fellow guest Ted Nugent. I’m not making this up. And the conversation, which was about Trump’s tumultuous week and tweeting habits, evolved into a heated argument with both Nugent and co-host Eric Bolling. This was the segment:
While Smith’s argument was decidedly critical of Trump on the conservative-leaning network, the entire segment seemed like an episode of First Take that centered on politics.
Twitter was certainly taken aback by the reality of a Smith-Nugent political debate.
This wasn’t Smith’s first appearance on Fox News Channel, though. He appeared on the network to discuss Ray Rice in 2014.
